Plastic laminates, as the name implies, are made of plastic and over a period of time can suffer scratches or burns, wear away, or simply become "out dated" due to style or color. When is occurs, you have a limited number of choices to upgrade the laminate surface. One, you can replace the entire item, the second choice is to have the item refaced or resurfaced, or third, you can have it professionally refinished.

Each option has its advantages and disadvantages, however, the cost of the option may be the principal concern, and the deciding factor on which option is chosen. Complete item replacement with tear out and installation is the most costly and normally requires manufacturing time, and a number of days to complete. Re-facing or resurfacing is another choice, it will cost you about 50% less than replacement, and usually takes around a week to complete The third option is professional refinishing, and this option will save up up to 75% over replacement costs, and usually takes only one day to complete. Decidedly, refinishing is a very cost effective and time saving solution for upgrading the item or items on you project.

Laminate covered products which we can refinish include the following:

Kitchen Cabinets Kitchen Countertops
Storage Cabinets Bathroom Vanity Tops
Laundry Room Cabinets Laminate Doors
Laundry Room Countertops Medical Counter Tops
Medical Cabinets Bar Tops
Garage Storage Cabinets Bookcases
Any Laminate Covered Item Desk Tops

Beside refinishing being a cost effective, and time saving alternative, another advantage is the unlimited selection of straight colors, and many choices in a custom finish that looks similar to granite. You can choose a color to match, accent, or contrast the surrounding area

Your new finish, when fully cured in 24 to 48 hours, will be as durable and scratch resistant as the original plastic laminate finish. However, a important feature is that if the finish would become damaged, repairs can be made to the effected area, without normally refinishing the entire item. The important benefit to you is that you will not have to replace the entire item, or live with the damage.

The following before and after pictures demonstrate the remarkable difference refinishing can make to a kitchen or medical facility counter top.
